Primary Purpose
Serve as the administrative and instructional leader of the school and supervise operations and personnel at campus level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service, oversee compliance with district policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all campus activities.
Qualifications Education/Certification
Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by CHEA or USDE. Must hold a State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Mid‑Management/Administrator/Principal Certificate, or another appropriate administrative certificate, or be eligible for probationary certification. Candidates eligible for a supervised certificate must submit a letter from the college/university indicating eligibility.
Experience
Three years of successful classroom teaching experience. Windham School District teaching experience preferred. This position requires personal technology enabling completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.

Major Responsibilities and Duties
Accept responsibility for the organization and management of the education program on the unit assigned.Utilize allocated resources of the Windham School District, contracted college/university and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in developing effective educational and vocational training programs for incarcerated students.Promote guidance and counseling program that furnishes the assistance required by the TDCJ, teachers, students, and college programs.Conduct periodic supplies and equipment inventories and submit requisitions for all educational programs.Work with staff to implement and evaluate the curriculum materials.Maintain and utilize appropriate information systems and records necessary for placement of students in education programs.Ensure against any form of student discrimination, establishing and following policies and procedures consistent with sound, fair and legal practices of the TDCJ, WSD, and contracted colleges/universities.Communicate and promote high expectation levels for staff and student performance.Promote a school climate that encourages incarcerated students to behave in positive ways during confinement.Develop, maintain, and utilize appropriate information systems and records necessary for attainment of campus performance objectives and accountability measures.Assist in establishing and clarifying short and long range goals that are educationally sound and administratively feasible.Assume responsibility for the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the assigned educational program.Facilitate the collaborative development of objectives and strategies to be used for implementing a shared campus vision that focuses on teaching and learning.Align financial, human and material resources to support the implementation of the campus vision.Establish processes to assess and modify the plan of implementation to ensure achievement of the campus vision.Coordinate and arrange for visiting supervisory and support personnel to ensure successful program outcomes.Interview staff applicants and…
