Job Title: Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Plainview, TX
Duration: 13 Weeks
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: Day Shift - 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Compensation
- Travel Rate: $75-$80/hour ($3,000 - $3,200/week)
- Local Rate: $65-$70/hour ($2,437 - $2,625/week)
Compensation based on experience
We are seeking a highly skilled Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with multispecialty ultrasound experience to perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across general ultrasound, vascular studies, and advanced echocardiography techniques while delivering high-quality patient care in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, including adult echo, contrast echo, and stress echo procedures
- Conduct general and specialty ultrasound exams, including OB, fetal, breast, transvaginal, and vascular studies
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond appropriately
- Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams
- Multispecialty ultrasound experience required, including:
- General ultrasound
- Fetal/OB imaging
- Breast and transvaginal ultrasound
- Vascular studies
- Echocardiography (adult echo, contrast echo, stress echo)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- On-call required:
- Weekdays: 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Weekends: 24-hour on-call coverage
- Weekend coverage required (on-call basis)
- No floating between units
- Expected patient ratio: 8:1
- No block scheduling
- 48-hour workweeks not approved
- Short-term acute care facility
- Small hospital setting with approximately 50 staffed beds
- Level IV trauma designation
- Free on-site parking available
- First-time travelers accepted
- Multispecialty expertise is mandatory for consideration
