Laboratory Assistant – Clinical Laboratory
Performs routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. Processes laboratory specimens. Coordinates and performs clerical/reception, client/patient/customer related duties pertaining to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.
Location:
Texas – Plainview. On‑site position; daily reporting required. Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts (days, evenings, or nights).
Work status:
Per Diem / On Call. Shift types are variable.
- HS Diploma – OR – GED Equivalency
- Laboratory experience
- Phlebotomy experience
- Medical Terminology
- Computer skills:
Windows Excel and Word - Experience may include Lab Assistant, Phlebotomy, Lab Tech, Patient Care Technician, CNA, Medical Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Healthcare Clinicals, Healthcare Internship, Healthcare Caregiver, Healthcare Customer Service (Medical, Dental, Vision, Veterinary), Healthcare Front Desk / Reception (Medical, Dental, Vision, Veterinary), Patient Services, Patient Access, Medical Terminology
- Base pay range: $16.14 – $24.69 per hour, with potential shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
