Travel Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment at a Level IV Trauma acute care hospital in Plainview, Texas.

• Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours per week)
• Start Date:

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Openings: 1
• On‑call required Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–8:00 AM, and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Patient ratio 8:1, no floating between units within this assignment
• Epic EMR required; travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state – refusal may result in termination

Perform multimodal ultrasound examinations including general ultrasound, fetal/OB, breast, transvaginal, vascular, adult echo, contrast echo, and echo stress treadmill.

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience across all modalities listed above
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Active professional license if applicable
• BLS certification
• ARDMS or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First‑time travelers will be considered
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may hinder placement
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted prior to or at the time of consideration; post‑offer requests may be denied
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
