Laboratory Assistant - Clinical Laboratory

Performs routine collection procedures, assists technologists and technicians in Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Histology. Processes laboratory specimens. Coordinates and performs clerical/reception, client/patient/customer related duties pertaining to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.

• Onsite position; report onsite daily as scheduled.
• Must be located within a commutable distance of TX Plainview.
• Flexible and available to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts (days, evenings, nights).
• Work status:
  Per Diem / On Call.
• Shift available:
  Variable.

• HS Diploma
  -OR- GED Equivalency.
• Laboratory experience.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Medical Terminology.
• Computer experience (Windows, Excel, Word).

The posted minimum and maximum wage rates for this position are $16.14 – $24.69 per hour. The successful candidate’s placement on the wage range will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
