Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). You'll play a vital role at a dedicated campus focused on early childhood and lower primary (ECSE 3-1st grade), serving a caseload of 35-40 students with a variety of needs, including articulation, language, and pragmatic skills. This position is ideal for those passionate about making a real difference in young children's communication abilities.
Supervision of one SLPA is also part of this role, allowing you to use and expand your leadership skills.
- Current, active SLPA license for the state of Texas
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong skills in addressing articulation, language, and pragmatic needs
- Ability to supervise another SLPA beneficial
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to an elementary caseload according to IEP goals
- Support students across a variety of communication needs (excluding AAC-focused interventions)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate records and data collection for all sessions and student outcomes
- Supervise and provide guidance to one additional SLPA on campus
This contract runs from August 19, 2026, through May 14, 2027. You'll work 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday, on a consistent schedule. As part of this role, you can expect a competitive hourly range from $35 to $40, paid weekly.
