Job Overview

Travel Nurse RN ED - Emergency Department in Plainview, Texas.

Start Date:

July 13, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week. 12‑hour day shifts.

Employment Type:

Travel.

Provide emergency department patient care with 24/7 coverage. Respond to acute medical emergencies, manage critical conditions, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

• Registered Nurse (RN) with active state license (compact license required)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience; 2 years desired
• Previous charge or supervisory experience preferred
• Patient-to-nurse ratio experience of 4 residents to 1 nurse

• Arterial line placement and management
• Central line care and chest tube insertion
• Intubation and airway management
• IV vasopressors, continuous IV paralytics, sedation
• BiPAP/CPAP management, asthma, COPD treatment
• Burns, trauma (orthopedic, neuro, CVA, gunshot wounds, traumatic amputation)
• IV access, phlebotomy, blood product administration
• Seizure management, epilepsy, status epilepticus
• Sepsis, infection control, isolation precautions, PPE
• Patient safety: fall prevention, fall risk assessment, violent behavior management
• Mental health: acute psychosis, aggression, suicidal patient, psychiatric hold
• Emergency medication administration and recognition of life‑threatening signs
• Interpretation of ABG, dysrhythmias, ECG’s
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Use of Epic charting system

• ACLS, BLS, TTS (NIHSS), PALS, TNCC
• CPR certification (National).
