Superintendent, Construction

NDC is looking to add a Superintendent to their growing team. They are looking for a versatile construction professional who can take ownership of projects ranging from smaller specialty work to larger commercial construction.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants to be involved beyond the jobsite, and is comfortable working in a lean, collaborative environment.

• Manage day-to-day field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to a high standard
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, project teams, and clients
• Oversee projects ranging from approximately $75K specialty projects to $5M+ traditional construction projects
• Work on interior renovations, fit-outs, healthcare, higher education, banking/credit union, veterinary, and commercial projects
• Communicate directly with clients and represent NDC professionally in the field
• Assist with estimating, bidding, project planning, and preconstruction activities when needed
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and the General Superintendent
• Jump between projects and responsibilities based on business needs

• Approximately 4-6+ years of construction experience
• Strong Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent experience
• Experience with interior renovations, fit-outs, or commercial construction preferred
• Ground-up construction experience is also welcome
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Solid computer and project documentation skills
• Someone who is hands‑on, adaptable, and willing to take on whatever the project requires
• A team‑oriented leadership style - NDC is specifically looking for someone who builds people up rather than simply directing from the top down

NDC is a smaller, growing construction company where team members have the opportunity to wear multiple hats and make a meaningful impact. Projects are diverse, and the pipeline includes everything from smaller specialty projects to $5M, $5M, and $15M healthcare opportunities currently in preconstruction that could transition into construction.

The ideal candidate is someone who can confidently manage a larger project but has no issue jumping into a smaller $100K-$500K project when the business needs it.

Projects are primarily located throughout Central Connecticut and the surrounding area, generally within about an hour of NDC's Plainville office. Current and potential work includes New Haven County, Hartford County, the I-91 corridor, and the Springfield, MA area, with additional opportunities throughout the region.
