Job Description:
Long-term Substitute Preschool Teacher - Linden Street Elementary School
Anticipated need from 1/26/26 to 3/23/26
Bachelor's Degree and Connecticut certification, Integrated Early Childhood/Special Education(#112) or Integrated Early Childhood/Elementary Ed.N-3/Special Education(#113) required. Candidates currently enrolled in a formal college program to acquire #112 or #113 Certification will also be considered. Experience teaching in a fully integrated preschool program preferred. Must demonstrate a strong foundation of developmentally appropriate early childhood practices to assess and promote student growth in all developmental domains, have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong ability to develop nurturing relationships with students and families, and be able to work well as part of a team to meet the needs of also students, as well as to develop and implement student IEPs in an inclusive classroom.
Salary based on teacher contract.
Long term substitute rate of pay is $150 per day for the first 40 days, and then the BA rate of the teachers' bargaining contract.
