Civil Engineer – Land Development

A growing civil engineering team is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join its land development group. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to impactful community‑shaping projects, and expand your technical skills across a wide range of development types including commercial, residential, mixed‑use, and multi‑disciplinary design environments.

• Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver efficient, high‑quality land development and site design solutions.
• Design stormwater and drainage systems that meet regulatory requirements while emphasizing performance and sustainability.
• Prepare detailed site plans, including grading, utilities, and layouts for commercial, residential, retail, and mixed‑use developments.
• Assist with land development engineering tasks, traffic‑related design elements, and site feasibility analyses.
• Support landscape architecture components by integrating functional, technical, and aesthetic design elements into cohesive site plans.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in land development, site design, or related areas.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including surfaces, alignments, grading, and utility design.
• Experience designing grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management systems.
• Ability to develop clear, accurate, and buildable site plans that satisfy regulatory standards and client objectives.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainville, CT.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $65.00/hr.
