Job Summary

The Nurse Coordinator – Breast is responsible for coordinating all clinical functions, nursing practice, and the standards of care related to the delivery of patient care within the Breast Ambulatory locations. This registered nurse serves as a collaborative resource and program leader for patients and the Breast Surgery team, assessing individual needs and connecting and referring patients to appropriate supportive services and resources.

Works collaboratively with Oncology physicians and administrative leadership teams regarding implementation of new surgical services, staff education, training, and quality projects. Provides regional support to Surgical Oncology and subspecialties to enhance patient throughput, experience and outcomes, utilizing data collected to make informed decisions and drive outcomes.

This role offers the opportunity to travel between offices, bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science, Nursing (BSN)

Experience: 5 years or more as a Registered Nurse.

Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Connecticut.

Certifications (Preferred)
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Red Cross obtained prior to hire date or transfer date.
