Role OverviewWe are so much more than a parts store and are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, you are the face of the retail store and the go‑to person for customers’ automotive needs. You do not need to disassemble and rebuild engines, but you must have background knowledge of automotive parts. This role offers opportunities for career growth, whether you are interested in a full or part time position or want to explore other careers within the company.
Whatyou will be doing:
- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
- Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members when answering customer questions.
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who visits our store.
- Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast‑paced stores.
- Welcome retail customers into our stores and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
- Use technology (computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system).
- Genuinely enjoy helping retail and wholesale customers with their auto parts and service questions.
- Have gained parts experience through automotive work or have spent time tinkering with or repairing vehicles.
- Be willing to learn all things automotive if you don’t already have the background.

- Valid Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn auto parts.
- High School Diploma or GED. Technical or trade school courses or degree is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Love fast‑paced retail environments.
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
- Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
- Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal).
- ASE Certifications.
