Truck Equipment InstallerPlainville CT
New England Truck Master is looking for an experienced Truck Equipment Installer/Technician to join our growing team in Plainville, CT. If you have welding, fabrication, mechanical, or electrical experience and take pride in building quality equipment, we'd like to talk with you.
As Connecticut's premier Miller Industries dealer, we build custom tow trucks, flatbed carriers, snow & ice equipment, and specialty trucks that go to work across New England.

- Install tow truck and wrecker bodies
- Install snow plows, spreaders, and related truck equipment
- Perform 12‑volt electrical wiring, lighting, controls, and wiring harness installations
- Weld and fabricate mounting brackets, frames, and structural components
- Perform truck body and frame modifications as required
- Repair and fabricate steel and aluminum components
- Work with hydraulic systems and truck equipment (experience is a plus)
- Experience installing truck equipment, wreckers, plows, or similar vocational equipment preferred
- Welding and metal fabrication experience
- Basic to intermediate 12‑volt electrical knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Hydraulic experience is a plus, but we’ll train the right person
- Ability to read layouts and work independently
- Own basic hand tools
- High school diploma, trade school, or equivalent experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
