Title: Residential Coach, FT
Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Starting Wage: $21.51 per hour plus shift differentials
About the ProgramCommunity Solutions, Inc. (CSI) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families involved in child welfare, juvenile, or criminal justice systems. The Lisa's House Program in Plainville, CT offers comprehensive, client‑specific treatment for adolescent girls, using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote emotional regulation, decision‑making, healthy relationships, and academic achievement.
Responsibilities- Provide daily care, supervision, and support services for residents.
- Implement the therapeutic model through individual and group counseling, skill‑building groups, and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a safe, gender‑specific, relational, culturally competent, and strengths‑based environment.
- Participate in weekly program planning, goals setting, and case conferences.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and reports in web‑based and paper logs.
- Oversee cleanliness and security of the living environment and transport residents to appointments.
- Support family visits and mediate conflicts when necessary.
- Administer medication according to agency policies.
- Respond to crisis and emergency situations promptly.
- Complete required training and comply with all CSSD and CSI policies.
- Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred, or minimum of two years of professional experience in human services.
- Familiarity with gender‑responsive, relational, strengths‑based, and trauma‑informed practices.
- Ability to work effectively with challenging youth and families.
- Availability to attend first‑shift off‑site training during the first month of employment.
