Overview
Estimator / Project Manager - Heavy-Civil Contractor:
Heavy-Civil Earthwork and Site Preparation experience required. An understanding of Highway Construction is a plus. Responsible for the accurate takeoff and pricing of projects, including all direct and indirect costs for roadway and site work projects. Managing the preparation of pre-bid schedules, and assists with contacting, comparing, and selecting the appropriate subcontractors and vendors. Oversee total construction effort to ensure projects are safely constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
This includes interfacing with client representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers. You will oversee project planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Allocate resources to projects
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, owner s project management, and other clients representatives
- Negotiate with subcontractor and vendors
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
- Value engineer for our clients benefit
- Implement company rules and policies
- Offer ideas and solutions regarding the successful integration of administrative and compliance requirements throughout the project
- Previous experience in civil construction site work
- Familiarity with B2W software
- Strong leadership qualities as evidenced by industry relationships
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Experience in earthwork
- Eligible for security clearances with federal and state clients
Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience.
