Gaming; Slot Technician

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment.
• Be a gracious host to all guests and co‑workers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance (moves, conversions, repair).
• Ensure functionality of the slot maintenance system.
• Interact with Slot Operations personnel and guests while repairing slot machine functions.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
• Assist in maintaining adequate stock of parts required for repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance: clean, inspect, adjust, and test various machine parts.
• Perform floor maintenance: troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming.
• Assist customers with questions and complaints regarding slot machines; provide answers, explanations, and rectify problems as appropriate.

• High school diploma or GED; one to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting experience and use of electronic test equipment required (e.g., board testers, multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills; fluent and literate in English.
• Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co‑workers, guests, and vendors.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift; mobility to move easily around the property.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The team member frequently is required to talk or hear. The team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member may occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Starting at $19.51 per hour, up to $24.39 per hour.
