Sr. Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

How Will You Make an Impact?:
The Sr. Manufacturing Maintenance Technician: A motivated self-starter with prominent levels of initiative. This technician will assist in support with customers, and the other mechanicals for all daily operations. Responsible for supporting and maintaining the GMP clinical/commercial manufacturing and facility process equipment, Pilot Plant and QC laboratory equipment. Respond to utility and equipment related alarms, and maintenance issues during manufacturing campaigns.
A Day in the Life:
- Support and maintain GMP clinical and commercial manufacturing process equipment, facility systems, pilot plant equipment, and QC laboratory equipment
- Respond to utility and equipment alarms and troubleshoot maintenance issues during manufacturing campaigns
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment including bioreactors, mixers, centrifuges, tangential flow filtration (TFF) systems, refrigerators, freezers, incubators, and stability chambers
- Support utility systems and facility operations within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, operational performance, and regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and follow established procedures and SOPs
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 maintenance support as required
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and facilities teams to support operational goals
Keys to Success:
Education
High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, Trade Licensure, or equivalent required
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory, or related environment required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Direct experience supporting utility systems within a regulated industry
Knowledge of GMP regulations and experience working within an SOP-driven environment
Training and experience with formal problem-solving methodologies
Strong computer skills and familiarity with maintenance management systems
Experience with Single Use Technologies (SUBs and SUMs) preferred
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) preferred
Ability to aseptically gown and/or sterile gown as required
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to a height of 4 feet
Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, and cleanroom environments as required
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and sterile gowning when necessary
Participation in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours support

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $24.00–$36.25.
