MD is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a vital clinical team member, you will play an integral role in providing high‑quality care to our patients, working alongside medical providers, and contributing to a supportive, collaborative environment. Impact
- Patient Care & Triage:
Conduct comprehensive triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations. Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures. - Clinical Procedures:
Perform diagnostic and testing procedures including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more. Execute point‑of‑care testing such as strep, flu, RSV, SARS‑CoV‑2, glucose, lipid panel, and urinalysis. Provide cardiac and airway management including ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen administration. Deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations. - Patient Engagement & Documentation:
Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans. Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment details. Observe and report changes in patients’ conditions, taking necessary action as needed. - Clinic Operations:
Ensure medical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies. Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace, supporting smooth clinic operations. - Collaboration with Clinical Team:
Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates. Welcome and support the training of new team members.
- Must be able to work 12‑hour shifts in consecutive or non‑consecutive days: for full‑time, three 12‑hour shifts per week with at least four shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday; for part‑time, two 12‑hour shifts per week with at least two shifts per month on a Saturday or Sunday; for per diem, four 12‑hour shifts per month, ideally one shift each week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three other Convenient
MD locations within a one‑hour travel distance from your primary clinic. - Required to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one‑hour commute.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Licensure &
Experience:
State‑licensed practical nurse (LPN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs. For Maine and New Hampshire only, must be IV certified. - BLS certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.
