The Project Executive is responsible for all aspects of successful project delivery. Leads, manages, and coordinates all phases of one or more projects from preconstruction through closeout. Project Executive is responsible for leading, training, mentoring, and coaching project teams, while holding them accountable for their assigned responsibilities. This role will initiate, maintain and strengthen positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, subcontractors and vendors.
This leadership position participates in strategic planning, innovation and the overall direction of the Company.
- Develop high‑performing teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance appraisals
- Develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with clients, the design community, and industry organizations on current projects of oversight
- Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements on all projects
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions
- Oversee and lead multiple project teams simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee the development of the master project schedule and manage its implementation
- Provide oversight for budget and financial management for all projects
- Support and drive utilization of various initiatives and technologies
- Drive enforcement of safety protocols by the project staff
- Ensure that each assigned project team establishes an accurate detailed budget for each project, in accordance with Company protocol
- Ensure that budget goals and performance results are communicated appropriately to all contributing teammates appropriately based upon their level of responsibility
- Monitor and report on accuracy of weekly and monthly project level financial results and projections. Audit project level reporting against actual performance
- Ensure that each assigned project team establishes a detailed CPM project schedule that can be used as an effective planning and monitoring tool, in accordance with Company protocols
- Ensure that all assigned teams are appropriately disseminating schedules to the project stakeholders, regularly updating the project schedule with progress and changes in logic, and properly incorporating change management analyses. Audit project level reporting against actual performance
- Conduct team and/or group training as needed or requested
- Mentor project teams
- Support project teams in the resolution of complex issues that arise
- Recommend internal and outside training for teammates
