Special Education Teacher - Plaistow, New Hampshire

Make a meaningful impact working with high school students (grades 9-12) in a full-time position, Monday through Friday, from August 2026 to June 2027. Youll enjoy consistent hours between 32 and 37.5 per weekwithin a supportive educational environment focused on student growth and success.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience managing high school special education caseloads (grades 9-12)
• Strong background in IEP development, case management, and specially designed instruction
• Proficiency in academic evaluations, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Preferred:
  Experience with behavior management and transition planning for high school students

• Provide individualized instruction and supports to meet diverse learner needs
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs in alignment with student goals and compliance standards
• Conduct academic evaluations and monitor student progress through data-driven methods
• Maintain active communication with families regarding student achievement and plans
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administration to foster student inclusion
• Plan and adapt lessons for an A/B schedulefour 90-minute blocks per day with a dedicated prep period
• Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning
