The Special Education Facilitator serves as the LEA representative and coordinator for all building special education teams. The role ensures students with disabilities receive specially designed instruction, conducts or schedules evaluations, provides directly instruction, monitors compliance, and facilitates relationships among staff and families to yield measurable growth and achievement.
Responsibilities- Serve as LEA representative and coordinator for all building special education teams.
- Ensure students with disabilities receive specially designed instruction to meet their unique needs.
- Conduct or schedule pertinent evaluations required to inform team determinations.
- Provide specially designed instruction directly to students.
- Monitor and correct issues related to compliance.
- Provide the school community with a consistent approach to all matters related to special education.
- Facilitate working relationships among all staff and families to yield measurable growth and achievement for students identified with an educational disability.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience working as a Special Education Teacher (or similar position).
- New Hampshire DOE credential/certification in Special Education or eligible for certification preferred; other relevant credentials considered.
- State driver's license required for district wide travel.
- Salary and benefits per Timberlane Teachers Association agreement.
- Full Time School Year Position.
