PBIS Aide - Plano Middle School
Demonstrate ability to be equitable and fair. Maintain a professional demeanor with staff, students, parents, and community members. Monitor restrooms and report any inappropriate activities or unauthorized personnel. Supervise student parking and student loitering. Monitor cafeteria. Maintain respectful working relationships. Monitor detention hall/ISS when necessary. Assist principal and assistant principal in enforcing school and district rules, regulations, and policies regarding student discipline.
Screen visitors, check hall passes and supervise buses loading and unloading. Escort students and visitors to designated locations, as needed. Ability to monitor students. Effective communication skills. Proven ability to work well in a team. Maintain confidentiality. Interact in a professional and controlled manner at all times. Remain as neutral as possible in a dispute. Report all incidents to supervisors so that a record of what transpired is available.
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions. Demonstrate openness to learn strategies to deescalate situations.
