Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Plano, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can efficiently handle high-volume invoice processing. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multiple locations and contribute to the smooth operation of financial processes.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.

- Perform general ledger coding to allocate expenses correctly across multiple accounts.

- Reconcile vendor statements monthly, resolving discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

- Communicate effectively with office managers across 20-25 locations in various states to address invoice-related inquiries.

- Handle invoice auditing tasks, reviewing documents thoroughly to identify and correct errors.

- Manage special projects related to accounts payable and financial operations as assigned.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and maintain clear communication.

- Utilize Yooz software to process invoices efficiently and accurately.

- Oversee and manage corporate accounts, ensuring timely payments and proper documentation.

- Maintain organized records for all accounts payable transactions to support audits and reporting. Requirements - A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.

- Proficiency in handling high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable processes.

- Strong understanding of general ledger coding and expense allocation.

- Experience working in a multi-location environment with effective communication skills.

- Familiarity with Yooz software or similar tools for invoice processing.

- Ability to reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies independently.

- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with vendors and team members effectively.
