Summary
A global food ingredient manufacturer specializing in natural additives and seasonings is looking for a versatile Accounting Assistant to join their Plano-based team. This position is responsible for performing accounting, HR, and administrative duties to ensure smooth office operations. The role focuses on daily accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR) activities while supporting the Senior Accountant with essential closing processes. It is an ideal fit for a collaborative team player who enjoys balancing financial tasks with general office coordination.
- AP/AR Coordination: Manages daily cash receipts, bank deposits, and credit card payments while monitoring bank account transactions.
Vendor & Billing: Processes vendor bills, prepares payments (Check/ACH/Wire), and maintains communication with vendors.
Collections: Monitors overdue accounts and sends statements to ensure timely customer payments.
Closing & Audit Support: Assists the Senior Accountant with month-end and year-end closing tasks and coordinates documentation for external auditors.
HR Administration: Manages employee timecards and maintains vacation and sick leave balances.
General Administration: Greets visitors, coordinates travel arrangements, manages office supplies, and prepares administrative reports for management.
Working Hours, Working StyleStatus: Non-Exempt.

Working LocationSalary/Benefit
Hourly Rate:$25/hr-$30/hr
Insurance: 100% premium coverage for the employee; 50% coverage for family members (Medical, Dental, and Vision).
Retirement: 401(k) with a 4% company match.
Other: Annual performance bonus, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Short-Term Disability (STD).

QualificationsExperience: 3+ years of accounting-related experience is preferred.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quick Books is required.
Language: English fluency is required;
Japanese proficiency is a plus but not mandatory for this role.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
