Staff Accountant (Entry-Level / Recent Graduate)

Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent accounting graduate to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their accounting career in a supportive environment where they will gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of accounting and finance.
The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with payroll support and expense reporting.
- Prepare financial reports and spreadsheets.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Assist with audits by gathering documentation and preparing schedules.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- Recent graduate or up to one year of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Internship or part‑time accounting experience.
- Experience with Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or other ERP systems is a plus.
- CPA eligibility or plans to pursue CPA certification are encouraged but not required.
