Location:
Plano, TX
Work Mode: Onsite Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, accruals, settlements, and asset close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries including recurring entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and adjustments.
- Execute monthly close activities including transaction cleanup, CIP/AUC analysis, capitalization summaries, and reconciliations.
- Review depreciation calculations and perform reclassifications where required.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Monitor and manage Construction in Progress (CIP) and Asset Under Construction (AUC) balances.
- Prepare capitalization templates, approvals, and asset uploads.
- Maintain project trackers and support capital authorization workflows.
- Coordinate intercompany billing and invoice processing activities.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Execute SOX compliance activities including journal controls, capitalization validation, and audit support.
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Deliver financial analysis and reporting related to capital spending and performance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong Fixed Asset Accounting experience
- Experience with Capital Projects, CIP/AUC accounting
- SAP experience (S/4
HANA preferred) - Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Month-End Close and Journal Entries
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- CPA preferred
- Black Line experience
- Experience supporting SOX controls and audit activities
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage business processes
- Process improvement / automation exposure
