Senior Accountant

Staff Accountant – ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions

Assist the team in developing best‑in‑class processes within a control‑oriented environment. Duties involve researching, analyzing, verifying and reconciling transactions.

• Maintain fixed asset schedule and post related depreciation entries.
• Post customer credits as directed by the Senior Accountant.
• Perform activities of the month‑end closing process, including journal entry preparation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to Accounts Receivable and other GL accounts.
• Assist in researching variances in key account balances and explain differences between actuals and forecast to management.
• Prepare journal entries for specific transactions such as bank fees and accruals.
• Provide assistance to Senior Accountants as needed.
• Perform additional accounting duties that are logically and properly inherent to the function.

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, accounting transactions, schedules and financial reports.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including V‑lookups and Pivot Tables.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience with automated financial information systems; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Motivated self‑starter who performs duties accurately, efficiently, and diligently.
• Excellent analytical, written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills with a positive approach toward customers and colleagues.
• Ability to design solutions that improve accounting efficiency and effectiveness.
