Senior Accountant
Immediate need for a talented Senior Accountant with experience in the Banking and Financials Industry. This is a 6+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Plano, TX. Please review the job description below.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete monthly JVs for all three insurance companies
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Review and reconcile month-end data warehouse reports for respective journal entries
- Reconcile financial information provided by business partners in support of monthly JVs
- Prepare and support monthly variance reports and various other internal reports
- Assist in completing various special projects as requested by management
- Prepare schedules supporting the year-end audit/regulatory audits and tax reporting
- Complex reporting schedules submitted to Japan.
- SEC financial reporting
- Preparing stand-alone financial statements
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and requests as needed
Experience:
- CPA required
- Big 4 or public accounting experience required
- 3 – 10 years of experience in GL Accounting (no more than 10 years)
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong communicator
- Critical thinker
- Self-motivated
- Team player
- Organized
- Ability to multi-task
- Detail oriented
- Positive attitude
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic, and changing environment
- Strong Excel user – pivot tables, v-lookups, functions
- Strong MS Office skills

- HFM experience
