Spectrum Search Group has partnered with a global advanced manufacturing and industrial technology company that designs and delivers highly engineered automation solutions for complex end markets. With approximately 500 employees worldwide and continued growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion, the organization offers the exposure and career opportunities of a much larger company without the layers and bureaucracy. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team in a highly visible role.
Position Overview- Serve as a key member of the accounting team supporting a global, multi-entity business.
- Report directly to accounting leadership and work closely with finance and operational teams across the organization.
- Take ownership of critical accounting processes, financial reporting activities, and project-based accounting analysis.
- Gain broad exposure to complex accounting matters, international operations, and executive leadership.
- Prepare and record journal entries while ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual activity.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across multiple entities.
- Analyze revenue, project costs, and profitability to ensure financial results are accurately reflected.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and supporting sub-ledgers.
- Assist with consolidated financial reporting, including multinational reporting considerations and intercompany activity.
- Prepare financial schedules, reports, and supporting analysis for management review.
- Partner with external auditors and provide required documentation during audit engagements.
- Support sales tax compliance and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, project-based, or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles.
- Experience with revenue recognition, project accounting, or percentage-of-completion accounting preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, and financial analysis.
- CPA designation or active pursuit of certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
