LHH is seeking an Assistant Controller for a high-growth Medical Device company in Plano. This organization operates across multiple distribution channels and is recognized for its strong culture, entrepreneurial mindset, and ambitious expansion plans. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader who brings deep technical accounting expertise, a hands‑on leadership style, and a successful track record in fast‑paced, growth-oriented environments.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility, with a strong background in consumer products, retail, or eCommerce. A CPA is required, along with expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and ERP systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organization and play a key role in building scalable processes to support continued growth.
Responsibilities:- Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Oversee audit processes and coordinate with external auditors and tax partners
- Manage fixed assets, cash flow forecasting, and overall financial controls
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, including sales and use tax
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Partner cross-functionally to support business performance and reporting needs
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and SG&A spend controls
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience with progressive leadership responsibility
- Background in consumer products, retail, or eCommerce environments is ideal
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems, with Net Suite preferred
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth setting
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‑on execution
