Role Description

The Staff Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Plano, TX. This position is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and assisting with month-end and year-end close. The Staff Accountant will review and process invoices, expense reports, and payments, ensure proper documentation and coding, and support accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

The role includes preparing routine financial reports, assisting with audits, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and collaborating with operations and leadership to provide accurate financial data. The Staff Accountant will also help identify process improvements, support special projects, and ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and company policies.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, journal entry posting, account reconciliations, and familiarity with GAAP.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables) and other standard office applications.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
  • High attention to detail, organization, and accuracy in handling financial records, documentation, and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Plano, TX, manage multiple priorities, and operate with integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
