Position Purpose

Under limited supervision, provides advanced support to Commercial Loan Officers by performing varied administrative duties related to commercial lending. Has a thorough understanding of complex loan requirements and assists in the preparation of all types of loan packages. Serves as a liaison between lenders, internal business partners and customers. Able to provide executive assistant role by helping with calendar coordination and scheduling meetings.

Will also need to compile management reports.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties
  • Participates with and assists loan officers on commercial and real estate loans
  • Coordinates with title companies on real estate loans
  • Provides administrative and operational support within the commercial loan function; assists loan officers in handling loans
  • Operates with no credit authority
  • Obtains financial data and provides customer service on approved lines of credit, equipment, financing loans, etc.
  • Follows up and communicates consistently with clients and provides other customer service as required
  • Coordinates the daily workflow in and out of the area to ensure current loans are in complete conformity with terms
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate files and records for loan documents
  • Provides information necessary for loan preparation
  • Organizes and schedules loan closings
  • Gathers credit and loan information from customers to complete requests for loan transactions
  • Coordinates loan packages and documentation for customers’ signature
  • Examines loan terms, interest rates and ensures funds within established time frames
  • Assures accurate, efficient and timely processing of activities through proper planning and scheduling
  • Develops and prepares reports and records relating to commercial loans as required
  • Coordinates workflow with related departments
  • Drafts necessary documents and agreements
  • Provides customers with routine platform services, such as approving checks for cashing or handling customer problems
  • Handles marketing initiatives
  • All other duties as needed or required
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications Education/Certification

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

A minimum of 5 years Commercial Administrative Loan Assistant experience with heavy emphasis in all phases of commercial lending is required. SBA lending experience is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and interest
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions with limited guidance
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non‑standardized situations
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and instill trust within the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Power Point
  • Ability to multitask is essential
Physical & Working Conditions

Requirements include average hearing and vision, occasional repetitive wrist movements, and ability to sit most of the day. Working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM for 40 hours a week.
