• Keying information found on claim forms into the claims program, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as a guide
• Matching documents to claim records based on information in the document and criteria found in the SOP
• Recognizing key words in a document and using those to determine the type of document, as stated by the SOP
• Identifying when work is not flowing correctly in the workflow and communicating that to the supervisor
• Reporting any system issues to the supervisor so they may be resolved
• Using the first two numbers of a document name item to recognize document types and determine the appropriate workflow, following Standard Turn Around Time (TAT) guidelines
• Reviewing work graded by quality and addressing areas that need improvement; working with training and SOP to maintain a “B” average or higher
• Typing medical, hospital, and insurance claims at a speed of 45 words per minute with high accuracy
• Accepting any business‑hour schedule, with the possibility of working overtime;
  Monday‑Friday 7:00‑15:00, with overtime when required

• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft products
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform clerical tasks as needed
• Must complete and pass a criminal background check
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must be able to pass a typing test assessment
