Front Office Representative

Position: Front Office Representative I
The Front Office Representative I is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-ins and check-outs, answering phones, and providing excellent customer service. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals beginning their career in healthcare administration.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Greet patients warmly and professionally and consistently creates a positive patient experience

Phreesia registration

Accurately check patients in and out using the electronic health record (EHR) system

Collect and verify insurance information and patient demographics

Collect co-pays and balances at the time of service

Answer incoming calls and direct messages appropriately

Schedule appointments and follow-up visits according to protocol

Coordinate rescheduling, cancellations, and no-show follow-ups Verify insurance eligibility and benefits in advance

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office

Provide general administrative support to the office team Adhere to patient privacy and HIPAA regulations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of related experience in a customer-facing or administrative role preferred

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Basic computer proficiency
