Leads the development and execution of holistic, global category management strategies, including strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, diversity, and risk management initiatives. Develops, executes, and manages global sourcing strategies using the Company's sourcing methodology.

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement category strategies; incorporate strategy into decision-making processes.
• Develop category expertise, category management expertise, and market contacts, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders in all aspects of sourcing.
• Lead internal projects/programs while managing business needs of key internal stakeholders.
• Participate in supplier negotiations, supporting senior staff, and leadership.
• Set up basic RFPs and implement supplier changes following internal processes.
• Interpret basic spend analysis output and utilize insights to inform decision-making.
• Incorporate key sustainability challenges and opportunities into category strategy.
• Understand and incorporate total cost of ownership into category strategy.
• Act with authority with suppliers, business stakeholders, Finance, and Legal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in science / arts or equivalent in business analysis, strategic management, marketing, or other analytical field; degree in supply chain, logistics, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline preferred.

Minimum Experience

Minimum two (2) years work experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or related field; a related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Basic understanding of market dynamics, financial principles, and data analytics. Ability to conduct standard market analysis. Knowledge of project management, current technology tools/advances, and database/analytical tools. Prior experience with cost analysis, Coupa, and Power BI Dashboard preferred. Good interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Pay Transparency: Fed Ex Services offers a comprehensive benefits package, including insurance and retirement benefits. 1. An annual performance-based incentive program, with program funding tied to company performance. The target incentive for this position is x% of eligible earnings (including base pay) earned in the previous fiscal year. Payout is not guaranteed and varies based on funding levels and individual contribution to team goals
