Director of Marketing and Business Development About the Role
Seeking a Hubspot Expert! Centra Funding is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Marketing and Business Development to lead marketing and business development efforts across all sales channels. This role will develop and implement strategies that drive lead generation, sales performance, and brand growth. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with experience managing cross-functional marketing initiatives and supporting sales teams through training, analytics, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities Business Development- Develop and execute business development strategies for each sales channel to meet growth and revenue goals.
- Create and deliver presentations to large groups of people for our targeted brokers and vendors.
- Support broker and vendor onboarding with educational materials and performance presentations.
- Present progress and KPI dashboards to the senior management team on a regular basis.
- Track sales activities (emails, calls via Aircall), funding volume vs. budget, app/approval/closing ratios, and vendor performance plans.
- Coordinate "power hours," sales contests, and other activities to drive prospecting and engagement.
- Review business development calls to provide coaching and conversion tips.
- Create performance update decks for brokers and vendors.
- Train new sales team members on systems, policies, and onboarding processes.
- Serve as the Hub Spot Subject Matter Expert (SME); drive consistent usage and adoption across vendor sales reps.
- Create training content and playbooks for Hub Spot and the vendor portal.
- Manage lead generation efforts using tools; align lead flow with credit criteria and sales capacity.
- Coordinate with the Director of Marketing to ensure campaigns support sales pipeline and growth objectives.
- Lead the creation of marketing content, copy, and design for webinars, vendor meetings, and broker outreach.
- Own marketing emails and outbound communications to vendors and brokers.
- Maintain and organize marketing assets for easy access by the sales team.
- Write blog articles, educational content, and company news updates.
- Lead updates to and websites.
- Coordinate client gifts, event marketing, and other promotional efforts.
- Lead monthly āEducating Centraā training sessions for internal teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Work cross-functionally to improve communication and alignment between departments.
- 7+ years of experience in business development, marketing, or sales leadership roles
- Proven experience leading teams and managing complex projects
- Strong background in B2B sales enablement and marketing strategy
- Proficiency with CRM and marketing platforms (Hub Spot required)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills
- Experience in finance, equipment leasing, or related industries a plus
