Job Title: Sr. Construction Project Manager

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days a week in the Legacy West Support Center, Plano, Texas

About

the Role
  • Develop and schedule utility accounts for new and closed store projects, ensuring services are available as construction is scheduled.
  • Analyze utility accounts for fleet stores and corporate facilities, validate basic service charges and cell‑phone billing, track costs, and negotiate or realign contractor services to reduce charges.
  • Manage tenant improvement funding from landlords and allocate funds to potential remodel projects resulting from lease renegotiations.
  • Review outstanding invoicing for new, remodel, special project rollouts, and facilities; code and distribute for approval, ensure proper coding of invoices, and coordinate with accounting and finance partners to align charges with budget allocation.
  • Collaborate with Construction in development and updating of project management scheduling; provide and distribute current progress updates, spend versus budget, and status reports to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • 20% Develop and schedule utility accounts for new store locations, communicating timelines and cost structure to stakeholders.
  • 20% Provide analysis of outstanding utility accounts for comparable stores and corporate facilities, ensuring accuracy and negotiating cost reductions.
  • 15% Review, code, and distribute invoices for approval, ensuring correct coding of capital and expense categories.
  • 15% Partner with department accounting and corporate finance for both BSG and Sally brands to align spend with budget allocations and timing.
  • 15% Partner with construction project management to develop and update documentation, schedules, and status reporting for major capital and closed store projects.
  • 15% Manage tenant improvement funding, allocating funds to potential remodel projects resulting from lease renegotiation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • High School graduate; some college preferred.
  • Prior multi‑site retail experience, ideally in real estate or construction.
  • Strong organizational skills, basic understanding of commercial building services and provider networks.
  • Experience with third‑party technology call centers and data metric platforms.
  • Financial budget development experience highly desirable.
  • Multitasking ability to manage large and small‑scale projects within timelines and budgets.
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Excel skills.
