We’re seeking a Retirement Innovation Product Manager to lead discovery, ideation, and development of new digital and non-digital products and services in the retirement space. This role will focus on identifying unmet needs among owners and affluent employees of small and medium-sized businesses, researching market trends, evaluating new technologies, and designing forward-thinking solutions. Working cross-functionally, you’ll bring structure to innovation by testing ideas, leading pilots, and preparing high-potential concepts for broader launch.
This is a direct-hire, on-site role in Plano, TX, with 35 remote days per year.
$154K-$180 (Base + Bonus) depending on the candidate's experience, etc.

- Research emerging trends, client needs, and competitive innovations across benefits and insurance
- Identify opportunities to better serve small business owners and employees
- Generate, validate, and prioritize new product concepts aligned with company growth goals
- Develop product briefs, market analyses, and business cases for new offerings
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, prototype, and test early-stage solutions
- Lead pilots to assess product-market fit, feasibility, and ROI
- Partner with client acquisition, operations, legal, and compliance to evaluate readiness and risk
- Contribute to the long-term innovation product roadmap with senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or innovation roles
- 2+ years in benefits, insurance, or a related regulated industry
- Strong working knowledge of modern product management frameworks
- Demonstrated success working with SMB clients or in small business environments
- Strong foundation in customer research, prototyping, and early-stage development
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with executive presence
- Analytical thinker with the ability to evaluate product-market fit and ROI
- Familiarity with digital advice platforms, financial planning tools, or RIA tech stacks is a plus
