9x80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Job Description

The Specialist, Contracts will be responsible for all facets of contract formation and administration including proposal preparation, fact‑finding, negotiation and definitization of assigned US Government contracts and Prime contracts. They will work with external customers, the internal Program Management office and functional departments. They will use their working knowledge of Government regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and other agency regulations.

Finally, this role manages the order entry and contract review process of assigned programs, including customer POs, solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process and overall administration.

Essential Functions
  • Review customer RFQs and contract T&Cs and advise program and contracts leadership on contractual rights and obligations. Identify contractual issues; analyze impact & ramifications; and evaluate and recommend alternative solutions consistent with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and sound business judgment.
  • Responsible for proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration of assigned contracts/programs. Serves as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts.
  • Act as the focal point of professional communications between company and customer. Additionally, will function as a key member of an integrated program team by supporting program management, engineering, finance and operations through clear communication of contractual requirements, interpretation of regulations, and policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant contracts experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related contracts experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related contracts experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc) are a strong plus
  • Master’s Degree/MBA is a plus
  • 4 years direct experience working with FAR, DFARS and TINA.
  • Experience with OTA’s
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool set.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize and close actions before deadlines, as required
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience;
