Mission
The mission of the Global Security (GS) team is the protection of the firm’s people and assets, ensuring the safety and soundness of JPMorgan Chase’s business operations worldwide. GS works to minimize disruption and threats that undermine our businesses’ ability to serve our customers by staying in front of external and internal risks, screening all new employees, protecting our franchises when needed with thorough investigations, ensuring the safety of business travelers, and keeping our businesses open during extraordinary situations such as weather disruptions or local protests.
Job Responsibilities- Independently conduct external investigations related to vulnerable adult and elder financial exploitation issues as part of the Vulnerable Adult Investigations Team.
- Gather thorough and accurate evidence, interview witnesses and suspects, trace financial transactions, document cases timely in the case management system, remediate activities appropriately and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Collect and evaluate ideas, technology and industry risks to aid GS’s fraud detection and investigations methodology.
- Work closely with Adult Protective Services and law enforcement on regulatory reporting and prosecution of investigations.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures required to facilitate investigations.
- Make independent decisions and keep GS management briefed on investigations, including consultation on complex issues.
- Maintain relationships with peers from law enforcement and regulatory bodies to stay current on issues affecting the firm.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial or vulnerable adult related investigations and/or 10 years equivalent banking industry experience.
- Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively multi‑task with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Good problem‑solving and issue‑resolution skills.
- Good oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner regarding sensitive situations.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Industry‑recognized certifications such as CFE, CFI, etc.
- Ability to research and analyze bank statements, credit card statements and other financial records.
- Strong leadership skills, showing the ability to work independently and assist team members.
- Business‑specific skills or certifications will be considered.
