Job Description:The Sr. Associate Contracts will be responsible for all facets of contract formation and administration including proposal preparation, fact‑finding, negotiation and definitization of assigned U.S. Government contracts and prime contracts. They will work with external customers, the internal Program Management office, and functional departments. They will use their working knowledge of government regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) and other agency regulations.
Finally this role manages the order entry and contract review process of assigned programs, including customer POs, solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process and overall administration.
- Review customer RFQs and contract T&Cs and advise program and contracts leadership on contractual rights and obligations. Identify contractual issues; analyze impact & ramifications; and evaluate and recommend alternative solutions consistent with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and sound business judgment.
- Responsible for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract administration of assigned contracts/programs. Serve as the official repository for all contractual documentation and correspondence relative to assigned contracts.
- Act as the focal point of professional communications between company and customer. Additionally, function as a key member of an integrated program team by supporting program management, engineering, finance, and operations through clear communication of contractual requirements, interpretation of regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant contracts experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0‑2 years of prior related contracts experience, or lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related contracts experience.
Skills:
- NCMA professional certifications (CPCM, CFCM, etc.) are a strong plus.
- Master’s Degree/MBA is a plus.
- 4 years direct experience working with FAR, DFARS and TINA.
- Experience with OTAs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tool set.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and close actions before deadlines as required.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated business acumen/finance experience; cost/price element breakdowns.
