Order Management Specialist
Location:
Plano, TX (Onsite)
Employment Type:
12+ month contract to hire (multi‑extension capability)
Rate: $32.00 /hr W2
Seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Order Management Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage and maintain a diverse account portfolio, ensuring seamless order entry and accurate processing within our ERP system.
You will act as a critical bridge between Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely order fulfillment, strict policy compliance, and continuous process improvement. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy solving complex operational puzzles, we want to hear from you.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Processing & Portfolio Management
- System Execution:
Ensure all customer orders are received, validated, and submitted in NERP via EDI, SPACE, or manual methods, strictly adhering to company policies. - Portfolio Oversight:
Manage a portfolio of 50+ high-volume accounts, handle purchase order revisions, track delivery dates, and process sales returns. - Data Integrity:
Update and meticulously maintain customer and order data to guarantee absolute accuracy across all platforms.
- Discrepancy Resolution:
Act as the primary point of contact to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve order-related discrepancies, pricing issues, and customer inquiries promptly. - Chargeback Validation:
Review, analyze, and validate price adjustment chargeback claims in collaboration with Finance and Sales teams. - Fulfillment Alignment:
Partner daily with Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure efficient, on‑time order delivery.
- Analytics:
Generate and analyze critical reports on open orders, price discrepancies, shipped orders, and aged inventory to support data‑driven decision‑making. - Special Projects:
Support the broader team on strategic projects, system integrations, and process optimization initiatives as needed.
- Degree:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. - Experience:
3–5 years of dedicated experience in order management, customer operations, or a closely related supply chain function.
- Systems:
Proven proficiency in SAP and EDI for high-volume order processing. - Software:
Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas), Word, and PowerPoint. - Industry Tools:
Knowledge of builder systems such as Supply Pro and KOVA is highly preferred.
- Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for cross‑functional and client‑facing collaboration. - Problem‑Solving:
Strong critical thinking abilities with a knack for identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. - Execution:
Highly self‑motivated, able to work independently, multitask efficiently, and deliver high‑quality results under tight deadlines.
