Overview2020 Companies has a full-time Data Analyst opportunity representing our client, Samsung Electronics America. The Data Analyst will support the entire Service/Repair Quality management team for Samsung, focusing on in‑depth nationwide data, trends, and analysis for recommendations and improvements. The position will ensure all data is captured appropriately, reported against, and maintained clearly and accurately for the leadership team to review and act.
The role of a data analyst is to ensure reliable data by setting standards, identifying root causes, and helping to resolve issues.

- Collect data from different sources, including raw data, structured data, or ASC's data, and convert that data into meaningful and useful information for the organization.
- Collect, clean, and interpret data sets to answer a question or solve a problem.
- Manage and analyze the customer‑provided data for warranties and bounce returns.
- Monitor, collect, and collate repair data using field metrics.
- Create dashboards and reports for all levels of Samsung Quality Management and Care Teams.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience in the telecommunications industry (Preferred).
- 1+ year's experience in a quality or wireless telecommunications position with long‑term customer contact and relationship building (Preferred).
- Experience setting up quality or sustaining engineering processes and procedures.
- Previous experience with OEM handset products, a combination of CDMA and GSM, and project/product management skills.
- Experience researching and resolving customer technical complaints and issues.
- Experience with statistical process control and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) applications.
- Significant knowledge of circuit design of wireless handsets.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts, including customers and authorized service agents.
- Ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and tables, and plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
- Ability to read, write, provide critical technical reviews, prepare reports, and understand technical manuals, test procedures, and technical product information.
- Read and interpret detailed and complex customer requirements.
- Full understanding of department KPIs and expectations.
Operate a PC for more than 75% of the work time in an alternating sedentary and highly mobile position. Requires high visual acuity, numeric/character distinction, moderate color distinction for accurate test equipment operation, information analysis, and error recognition. Requires understanding of complex math and reading, analysis/comprehension and judgment/decision making, and demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication with internal and external personnel at various levels.
