Job Overview
The Senior Data Manager at RTX is responsible for identifying all data deliverables for a contract and building data tracks in a Product Data Management (PDM) system. They ensure data compliance, obtain programmatic approvals, and deliver information to customers on time throughout the contract lifecycle. The position is located onsite in Plano, Texas and requires a U.S. citizen with an existing Secret DoD security clearance, active following day
1.
- Read contracts to understand deliverables.
- Use a PDM system to capture, manage, and track data deliverables and receivables.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to obtain requested data.
- Proofread data for compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage deliverable schedules and provide data to the customer on time.
- Learn and apply contractually required markings on data.
- Run forecast reports and provide them to stakeholders.
- Provide metrics related to on‑time deliveries and outstanding dispositions on request.
- Review and approve sub‑tier supplier statements of work for data requirements.
- Support program meetings and give training to program personnel, customers and suppliers.
- Handle and protect company intellectual property and U.S. government IP, including classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree, or in absence of a degree 4 years of relevant experience, or a related associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of experience in data management and/or equivalent professional experience.
- 2 years of experience in a customer support/service role.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD or government security clearance.
- Knowledge of U.S. government defense contracts.
- Knowledge of U.S. government specifications and instructions such as FAR, DFARS, DIDs, NISPOM, etc.
- Strong collaboration skills within a team environment.
- Self‑motivated and detail oriented.
- Proven excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent proofreading skills.
- Competitive salary range of68,900
USD–131,100
