Responsible for providing instruction and assuring each child is well cared for and safe at the CISD Employee Child Care Center.
Qualifications- 18 years of age or older
Per the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS), new employees with less than 2 years' experience must:
- Obtain 24 hours of pre-service training within 90 days of hire to work in a licensed center (employees will not be compensated for pre-service hours)
- Complete 8 of the 24 hours of pre-service training hours before being counted in the child/caregiver ratio
- Have high school diploma, high school equivalent, or high school certificate of coursework completion as defined in Texas Education Code, §28.025(d)
- Acquire and maintain current CPR, First Aid and Food Handler's certificates,
- TAcquire exas Education Aide Certificate or Child Development Associates (CDA)
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood or closely related field or Valid (Preferred)
- Knowledge of TDFPS minimum standards for child-care centers
- Knowledge of developmental milestones of young children
- Ability to work flexible hours, be punctual and demonstrate a positive attitude
- Display good communication skills and ability to receive and follow directions
- Strong organizational, time management, interpersonal skills and enjoy being around children
- Ability to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to work with diverse populations
- Experience in a licensed child care related fields preferred
Minimum $24,555 (191 days-). Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience.
