Summary of Position
The Campus Worship Pastor is responsible for overseeing all worship and live production ministry activities to cultivate a healthy culture of worship and facilitate leadership, care and community at the campus level. This position reports to the Campus Pastor and oversees the campus worship and live production teams:
Live Production Manager, Worship Associate Pastor, Music Director and teams. The Campus Worship Pastor leads the congregation toward intimacy with God by developing highly anointed, skilled, Spirit‑filled leaders and teams for all weekly and weekend worship experiences. This role maintains the best practices, standards and policies of Gateway Worship. All applications must include 1 or 2 videos of you leading worship, in addition to a resume.
Responsibilities Campus Worship Responsibilities
- Lead worship on a 5‑weekend rotation (generally 5 Sundays on, 1 Sunday off)
- Oversee weekend worship services: including soundcheck/rehearsal
- Develop worship song list and post songs on PCO
- Meet and oversee MD for service planning
- Attend pre‑service meetings
- Weekend service planning meetings
- Campus Worship Operations (PCO scheduling and workflows)
- Manage worship budget (operational and event staff)
- Pastor the team – communication, one‑on‑one meetings, care, family gatherings
- Oversee Live Production Manager
- Oversee their spiritual, professional, and relational development
- Weekly oversight meetings
- Meet with all live production staff/teams (team gatherings)
- Oversee Worship Associate Pastor
- Oversee spiritual, professional, and relational development
- Weekly oversight meetings
- Attend youth services monthly
- Mentor/pastor kids worship teams (weekend family time)
- Meet with all Next Gen staff/teams (team gatherings)
- Coaching sessions (adult and Next Gen – at least 2 sessions each, annually)
- Onboarding process (in‑take, evals, coaching)
- Ongoing development for current team members to develop worship leaders
- Monthly meetings with Pastor of Gateway Worship
- Available to serve in Central Worship events
- Monthly campus staff meetings
- Campus Lead Team meetings
- Pastor on‑call
- Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in meeting task deadlines/timelines
- Strong communication skills and strategic thinker

- Highly self‑motivated
- Team player with positive, servant‑motivated attitude
- Pastoral heart to shepherd people well, on and off platform
- Communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels
- Microsoft Office and Internet applications
- Ability to direct musical rehearsals at all levels
- Read and write music using standard notation and Nashville numbering system
- Ability to administer and prioritize varied workloads, executing appropriate judgment and confidentiality
- Time and energy given to worship mentoring
- Professional and pastoral leadership given to worship ministries of Gateway Church
- Excel in building, raising up, and releasing worshippers who are strong in character and leadership
- Worship leadership provided in multiple services
- Musical rehearsals conducted in a professional and pastoral manner
- Implement operations, procedures and protocol of the vision for worship ministries as set by Executive Pastor of Worship
- Job performance indicators as listed in Pastoral and Management Evaluation
