Job SummaryUnder direct supervision, the Collections Representative is responsible for collecting delinquent accounts by phone or correspondence, using a computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting. The role involves answering basic inquiries or resolving problems by following routine procedures.
Regular Hours Beginning In September- 8am-5pm CST (4 shifts Monday–Friday)
- 10am-7pm CST (1 shift Monday–Friday)
- 8am-12pm CST every other Saturday
- Will work one half‑day during the week when working a Saturday
- Collect on assigned delinquent accounts by telephone or correspondence.
- Support dialer function through outbound manual dialer campaigns.
- Assign accounts to agencies for repossession, skip‑tracing, or in‑person collection when approved.
- Process and/or assign accounts to Adjustment Queue for payment re‑allocations and fee/balance waivers when applicable.
- Adhere to company collection policies, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and confidentiality and privacy requirements.
- Use effective time management to ensure a satisfactory customer service experience that meets expectations.
- Ensure all steps necessary are taken to protect the company’s interests.
- Maintain protection of information and compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent collections experience.
- High‑speed hardwired internet access.
- Reside within 1-hour of Plano, TX.
- Adherence to high ethical standards of truthfulness, honesty, and fairness.
- Ability to prioritize workflow to meet department objectives.
- Proficient computer and keyboard skills with moderate speed and accuracy.
- Detail‑oriented, highly organized, with excellent written communication and professional verbal articulation.
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills for handling large volume of collection accounts.
- Team‑orientated and open to change.
- Self‑motivated, professional, with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
- Previous CBS call model experience preferred.
Pay range: $18.70 – $28.13 per hour ($38,900 – $58,500 annually).
