Project Architect
We are seeking an exceptional Project Architect with entrepreneurial spirit to join a growing architectural studio where every architect is encouraged to build their own brand within our client's studio rather than moonlight.
The role offers a hybrid work setting.
Summary of Position
The Project Architect will lead the technical design of projects from schematic design through construction to maintain standards of excellence. Technical design responsibilities include drawing documentation, specifications, consultant coordination and construction administration including shop drawings, submittals and contractor coordination / direction as required.
Major Responsibilities
- Formalizes and prioritizes the task involved in producing Construction Documents.
- Conveys the directions from the Project Manager to all CD team members.
- Ensures that the project conforms to the contractual technical requirements and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
- Effectively manages project CD budget to ensure profitability.
- Effectively manages project to ensure completion of CD's within allocated time constraints.
- Maintains ongoing, positive and productive relationship with consultants.
- Effectively and proactively coaches, mentors, and provides performance-enhancing feedback to CD team members.
- Implements the firm's processes to reduce risks and ensure uniform quality in all production of the CD's.
- Ensures the CD's demonstrate efficiency, quality assurance and code compliance.
Job Requirements
- This position requires a B.S. or B.A. in Architecture
- An architectural license required or in process of obtaining.
- It is essential to have Construction Document creation experience.
- The Project Architect must have the ability to manage small groups.
- Skill in motivating and inspiring others is helpful.
- Basic presentation skills, both verbal and graphic, are required.
- Must be proficient with Revit.
- Experience with Residential, Multifamily, and/or Commercial projects required
- Travel may be required.
