Position Overview

HPA Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Advanced Gastroenterologist with ERCP and EUS expertise for a high-paying locum tenens opportunity in Texas.

The physician will support a busy hospital-based GI service with scheduled procedures, inpatient consultation, advanced endoscopy, and beeper call.

Clinical Coverage: $450/hour

24-Hour Beeper Call: $5,000/day including 4 callback hours

Additional Callback: $500/hour

• Advanced Gastroenterology
• ERCP required
• Therapeutic ERCP required
• EUS required
• Scheduled colonoscopies/procedures
• Inpatient GI consults
• Beeper call
• Approximately 5–7 patients per shift
• Approximately 4–6 patients seen during call
• Approximately 4–6 admissions during call
• Estimated callback rate: 10–15%
• Epic EMR
• Level I Trauma facility
• Board Certification required
• GI fellowship required
• Active Texas license required
• Temporary privileges available
• Estimated credentialing: 30–60 days
• No APP supervision
• No resident/teaching supervision
• Travel covered within client limits
