We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Learning & Development Specialist to join our team and play a key role in delivering impactful training experiences across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about adult learning, skilled in facilitation, and committed to helping employees grow and succeed.

Position Summary:

The Learning and Development Specialist primarily focuses on facilitating virtual and in-person training to new hires and existing employees. They also focus on supporting curriculum development and administrative needs for the Learning and Development department as a whole.

Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Facilitate live and virtual training sessions for new hires and existing employees. Training may require travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training content.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics
  • Support onboarding programs and ongoing professional development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate training records and assist with LMS data entry and reporting.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to reinforce the learning outcomes of existing employees.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of leadership development and compliance training.
  • Stay current on learning trends and recommend innovative training approaches.
  • Communicate with external vendors and partners to support training logistics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as needed.
Preferred skills, capabilities, and experience:
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., 360

    Learning, Absorb Cornerstone, Docebo, etc.).
  • Experience coordinating travel or event logistics.
  • Comfort with data entry, reporting, and maintaining clean datasets.
  • Experience in healthcare, home care, or service-based industries.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in training, facilitation, or instructional design.
  • Expert presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
